Mary Beth White is a Registered Nurse in Advanced Practice with more than 30 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner. With a primary area of expertise in Women's Health/Gynecology, she is also a Nurse Colposcopist and is nationally certified by the American Holistic Nurses Association as an Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse and Nurse Coach.  Mary Beth specializes as a Transpersonal Nurse Coach and has trained as a Home Funeral Attendant under the auspices of holistic funeral director, Amy Cunningham.

Throughout her professional and personal life, Mary Beth has sought to understand and acknowledge the mind-body-spirit connections which affect illness and health.  To this end, she is skilled in meditation and imagery, both of which enhance her practice as a CranioSacral Therapist.  Mary Beth strives to facilitate optimal wellness in her clients, by acting as a guide to assist them in making well-formed choices.

Mary Beth is the owner of WellCairn, and practices gynecology at WGM Obstetrics and Gynecology in East Northport, New York.   She is on faculty of the Huntington Meditation and Imagery Center where she assists in the development of other health care practitioners.  Mary Beth, with her mentors of many decades, Bonney Schaub, RN, MS, PMHCNS, NC-BC and Richard Schaub, PhD, regularly teach and present locally and nationally on Clinical Meditation and Imagery, Vulnerability and Spirituality, and Transpersonal Nurse Coaching. 

A Long Island native, Mary Beth lives in Huntington and has two grown daughters.  When not working, she loves hiking, yoga, being by the sea and dance. A graduate of Adelphi University School of Nursing, she began her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse practicing in New Jersey and the Bronx.  She received her certificate as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner from the Margaret Sanger Program affiliated with Planned Parenthood of New York City and Downstate Medical Center.  Subsequently, she received a Masters of Science in the Primary Care of Women at SUNY Brooklyn.  She completed a fellowship as an HIV Clinical Scholar through the AIDS Institute of the New York State Department of Health and the State University Hospital at Stony Brook, and has been a Hospice Nurse.  

Mary Beth is proud to have been a member of the team that initiated the Dolan Family Health Center, Huntington Hospital's innovative and award-winning ambulatory health care center which serves the community's medically underserved.  For thirteen years, she developed and coordinated the Dolan Center's gynecology service.  Mary Beth is a recipient of the Mary Ann Brown Community Service Award for Outstanding Service and Dedication to Community Health.
